Welcome to your Science is Wonderful - Wastewater and Sludge quiz!

Wastewater includes domestic effluent, consisting of black water (excreta, urine, and fecal sludge) and grey water (kitchen and bathing wastewater), as well as water from commercial facilities, including hospitals, industrial effluent, stormwater, and other urban runoff. Wastewater contains harmful chemicals, heavy metals, and pathogens that can pose risks to human health and the environment if not properly treated.
Wastewater treatment sludge (sewage sludge) is the solid, semi-solid, or slurry residual material produced as a by-product of wastewater treatment processes. Treated sludge is rich in nutrients and improves soil fertility, which makes it suitable for use as fertilizer in agriculture.
